Hilltop Healing offers Facial Rejuvenation services, including facial acupuncture, micro needling, nano needling, facial Gua Sha, facial cupping, and red light therapy.

Facial Acupuncture is an amazing way to take care of yourself; inside and out! These treatments addresses muscle, fascia, Qi & Blood level disharmonies of the body, with a focus on lifting, smoothing and brightening the face. Facial acupuncture treats the root of the underlying issues that contribute to wrinkling, sagging, dropping, and thinning. Patients typically see a noticeable improvement after 4-6 treatments, with maximum results after 12-24 treatments. Treatments can be scheduled up to 2 times per week.

Facial cupping and facial Gua Sha bring blood and qi to the surface of the skin and can help smooth fine line, bring firmness, plumpness and lift to your face. It's also fantastic for sinus drainage, jaw tension, headaches, tight muscles in the face/neck and more. Cupping and Gua Sha are included in Deluxe Facial Acupuncture sessions, or can be booked on their own.

Micro- and Nano-needling treat at the skin level. While Facial Acupuncture is addressing the root causes of disharmonies, micro- and nano-needling address the branches: the skin (dermis) level. Through micro-traumas, we stimulate the body's natural immune system response to produce collagen, elastin and fibroblasts; effectively filling in wrinkles, fine lines, smoothing and brightening the skin. Micro-needling is highly effective for treating wrinkles, fine lines, sun spots, scars, stretch marks, hair loss and more. It also improves absorption rate by 1000x, making your skin products and serums much more effective in treating your skin.

Micro-needling treatments include (optional) application of numbing cream, body acupuncture points (yes, an acupuncture treatment is included!), micro-needling and nano-needling treatments. You'll also receive a goody bag of 3 aftercare products to use for the week following treatment. Micro-needling can only be done every 28 days (that's how long it takes for collagen to be produced). You may see results following the first treatment, but the full benefits will be seen after 4-6 treatments. Results can last up to 5 years. In-between micro-needling sessions, you may schedule nano-needling sessions, facial acupuncture sessions, facial cupping & Gua Sha treatments, or regular acupuncture sessions to assist in your goals.

You can expect this treatment to be about an hour. Be aware that you may experience redness, peeled/flakey skin for a day or two following treatment (similar to a sun burn). You'll be asked not to wear makeup for the rest of the day following treatment, as well as to avoid sun exposure, and exercise. You'll receive an aftercare kit of 3 products to use for the days following treatment. For one week, it's best to avoid lots of direct sun light. After one week, you can return to your normal habits, activities and skin care routine.

PRIOR TO TREATMENT:
- It is recommended not to take blood thinners prior to this treatment in the unlikely case that there is some bleeding. If you are currently taking blood thinning medications, please consult your doctor to see if you are able to skip the day prior to treatment. If it is unsafe for you to skip a day, we do not recommend micro-needling.
- We do not recommend micro-needling while taking anti-inflammatory drugs. If you are currently taking anti-inflammatory medication, ask your doctor if it is safe for you to stop taking these drugs for 3 days prior to micro-needling.
- Please do not drink alcohol for 3 days prior to treatment, or the day of your treatment.
- Please avoid taking fish oil tablets for 3 days prior to your treatment.
- We do not recommend micro-needling to women who are pregnant.
- We do not recommend micro-needling for people currently undergoing chemo-therapy or radiation. We are happy to treat you with a regular acupuncture session instead.

Results can sometimes be seen after just one treatment, with full results taking 4-6 treatments, spaced one month apart. The results will last up to 5 years (no need for regular maintenance!).

There is minimal downtime after treatment, but you should expect to stay out of the sun for the rest of the day, to refrain from wearing makeup for the rest of the day, no exercise/sweating the rest of the day, and to use the aftercare products for about 1 week before returning to your normal skin care routine. You may be red and peel/flake for 12-24 hours following treatment. You will be given a soothing spray in your aftercare kit.

While micro-needling cannot be done more than once per month (that's how long it takes for the body to produce collagen), you can schedule nano-needling sessions up to 2x/week, facial acupuncture sessions up to 2x/week, facial cupping and/or facial Gua Sha appointments up to 3x/week, in the meantime.
